Commercial vs Free Software Comparison (post 2)

Software piracy is bad for society because it takes away people's chances at earning a living of selling legal copies of software. Shareware allows people to experience what a certain website or software provides, but in order to receive extra parts of that software you have to buy a better package, or "premium" account. Freeware software can just allow people to use a certain kind of software and it may be paid for by using advertisements on the website or software.

Software vocabulary and examples (post 1)

·         Freeware – software that is provided without charge – Facebook, Blogger

·         Shareware – software that is available free of charge; may be distributed for evaluation with a fee requested for additional features or a manual etc. – Picnik, Shockwave

While doing my tutorial, I think I did really well. I was able to show my audience how to edit a picture and connect to Flickr quite easily. It was easy to show them how to edit, since I have used Picnik for almost 3 years now. I had trouble showing my audience how to connect to Flickr, since I have only connected to Flickr maybe 2 or 3 times.

Snow Day 1.12.11

On my snow day I slept in until 8:30. Then I played Just Dance 2 and Wii Bowling. I then "skyped" my aunt until about 2pm. Then at 4pm I went over to my neighbor's house to babysit until 7:30. There we played Club Penguin and watched Dora the Explorer.

That was my snow day yesterday, I must say that was quite a lazy day, but I very much so enjoyed it!

Arizona Shooting at Rep. Giffords's meet and greet

Over the weekend, Rep. Giffords held a meet and greet at a local Arizona supermarket. A 22- year old started shooting at people in the crowd and then towards Giffords. He killed 6 different people and shot a total of 19. To me, someone just coming into a grocery store, where they were holding a meet and greet, and they just walk in and start shooting people is not right to me. People should have respect for the people representing a state and the country just in general.

In the future I think that the United States will end up sending this guy to jail and then the United States citizens will end up just forgetting this whole thing like they do to alot of other things.

American Idol Net I chose as my blog that I searched. The blog showed the new judges, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez. They also shared Crystal Bowersox's view on the changes that American Idol is making to the show this season.
