Commercial vs Free Software Comparison (post 2)

Software piracy is bad for society because it takes away people's chances at earning a living of selling legal copies of software. Shareware allows people to experience what a certain website or software provides, but in order to receive extra parts of that software you have to buy a better package, or "premium" account. Freeware software can just allow people to use a certain kind of software and it may be paid for by using advertisements on the website or software.

Software vocabulary and examples (post 1)

·         Freeware – software that is provided without charge – Facebook, Blogger
·         Shareware – software that is available free of charge; may be distributed for evaluation with a fee requested for additional features or a manual etc. – Picnik, Shockwave
·         Open source – of or relating to or being computer software for which the source code is freely available – Java Script, Adobe
·         Commercial software – commercial software, or less commonly, payware, is computer software that is produced for sale or that serves commercial purposes.  – Photoshop, Microsoft Office

How to Edit Photos

How to....connect to Flickr on Picnik and edit photos off of your Flickr account on Picnik.

While doing my tutorial, I think I did really well. I was able to show my audience how to edit a picture and connect to Flickr quite easily. It was easy to show them how to edit, since I have used Picnik for almost 3 years now. I had trouble showing my audience how to connect to Flickr, since I have only connected to Flickr maybe 2 or 3 times.

Snow Day 1.12.11

On my snow day I slept in until 8:30. Then I played Just Dance 2 and Wii Bowling. I then "skyped" my aunt until about 2pm. Then at 4pm I went over to my neighbor's house to babysit until 7:30. There we played Club Penguin and watched Dora the Explorer.

That was my snow day yesterday, I must say that was quite a lazy day, but I very much so enjoyed it!
